The Challenge!

In case you didn’t read my post yesterday, I have tossed down the gauntlet to all of you out there in the great big world. I challenge you to lose more weight than me in the month of May. You have no chance… :P

Tip Of The Day

Competition is great for weight loss. A little friendly trash talk and competition can make losing weight a LOT easier.

I’m going to clean your clock! You might as well quit (don’t quit) now because I am going to be a weight loss fiend during the month of May. Well, as long as I don’t get sidetracked by the wedding this week or Cinco de Mayo or Mother’s Day. :P

Or the Wednesday lunch. :D

You caught a serious break. Just like Gail caught a break when we started the office weight loss competition. I told you I was going to be down a big chunk this morning and it was even BIGGER than I thought.

4.1 pounds!

I was so shocked by the drop I weighed myself again after resetting the scale. The 4.1 showed up again. That is 7 pounds in two days. I wouldn’t be shocked by a small gain tomorrow but I am not expecting one. I think I probably drop another pound tomorrow.

I’m hoping I get a little more water off my bones. Unfortunately  I think all of the water is gone. I didn’t make 90 trips down the hallway today.

Get to work! You have a tough battle with me in May!

Today’s Menu

Breakfast – Turkey burger with cheese

Lunch – none

Dinner – Chicken with salad

Snack – Turkey burger with cheese

Calories – 1200

Day 2 without fruit. Not only did I skip the fruit, but I also kept away from the popcorn, leftover pizza, Popeye’s biscuit and chips and salsa. The pizza really looked good.

Biking Update

No ride today! I’ll try to get up on the levee tomorrow. I had to go shopping so it was too late when I got home. I’ll get up there tomorrow. :D

  1. So what are the rules? When/how do we compare – daily, weekly? I think you’ve got an edge but obviously there are some potholes in your road to success (I’ve got Mother’s Day too though), so we’ll see!

      So the loss divided by your starting weight as of today. Same as Biggest Loser rules.

      How do I have an edge? I already done lost 150 pounds. :D

        I’ve actually never watched the Biggest Loser and didn’t know the rules they use!

      • OK, starting weight, home scale yesterday morning, 141.5.

      • I have never watched biggest loser either. That show always made me mad, because I wasn’t on it being helped.

  2. if today’s weight is the starting line then looks to me like you blew 4.1 pounds a day early. You can put me down for 176.1 this morning. I weigh weekly over on http://52weeks52pounds.wordpress.com and will post what – May 31 or June 1 final weight?

    • Yup! Which is why I said it was the same thing as the office challenge. I lost 10 pounds in 3 days before the office competition started. That 10 pounds would have won me the competition.

      Oh well, I am not concerned. I got this thing WON. :D

    • As to the ending date, probably whichever helps me win. :D

      Lets say June 1.

    • Mondays seems like a good time to weigh. Knowing you need to weigh-in on Monday might keep the weekend cheats down.

    • i record daily so doesn’t matter which day to me. I happen to only publish on sundays mornings so you can see where I am on sundays, and I’ll just send over the final number for whichever day it is.

      BTW: those doritos tacos at TB are yummy.

      • Ha! I actually had one last week with my little meltdown. I can keep away for 1 little month. :D

    • Nope. But I did combine it with volcano tacos. :D

      Taco Bell has been my nemesis from day 1 on this diet. About 95% of my cheats have been Taco Bell.

  4. Geez….ok…I am in! Darn it, I am a sucker for these things and I can never get through it…THIS TIME I WILL GET THROUGH IT!!! ; )

  7. Alright! After I’ve stopped the whole weightloss thing, I’m ready to get back! COUNT ME IN! I’ll have to weigh in tomorrow though; I’ll do that in the morning.

    • Any loss kicks my tail. I did not have a good Thursday or Friday, no sir, I did not have a good end to the week.Hoping I can just get back to the starting weight by Monday. :P

  10. I have been on a 10 day vacation and will take you up on your challenge if i am still allowed to join ! I can still beat you starting 6 days late…..i weighed in at 303 pounds this morning :)
    I am so happy we don’t have taco bell in Holland (yes, europe tihi)
    So do we post here every monday ?

    • The official weekly weigh in will be Monday but you can post your weight and trash talk all week. :D

      I had a bit of a bad first week in the challenge so anyone joining late has a good shot of beating me. :D

      • That is cool, cause i lost over a pound yesterday (we have a six to ten hour time difference, its 6:20 am here). My weight….monday May 7th : 302:)
