Then there was Tyson vs Douglas. Odds makers had Tyson heavily favored. Nobody on the planet thought Douglas could take out Tyson. Not only did he win. He demolished Mike Tyson.

Then an epic struggle began that would have far-reaching consequences throughout history.

Yesterday’s Meal Plan

Breakfast – Burger patty (out of cheese)

Lunch – Broiled chicken and salad

Dinner – Broiled chicken and salad

Snack – None

Calories – 1450

Biking – 0

Net Calories – 1450

Now comes the hard part. 😛

Maintaining my weight in the 165 to 170 range. I thought about losing a few more to maintain in the 160 to 165 range but I think 158 pounds is probably enough to lose.

Today is the 17 month anniversary of my diet. 17 months!!!

I went to Walmart and bought oatmeal and bread. My diet is about to change pretty drastically as I shift back to carbs. I am a bit concerned with the sodium level.  It is going to be a good bit higher than my diet level.  I’ll keep an eye on my blood pressure to see if it makes much of a difference.

I’ll need to tweak and change my maintenance  over the next few months to see what works and what does not work.

I will also be adding more planned cheats into the mix. I am sure the next few weeks will be bumpy and a bit scary as the scale bounces around. 😀

Glad I have you guys to help me stay on the straight and narrow.

Tip Of The Day

Practice what you preach.

You have no idea how hard it was for me to stay away from the Chinese buffet this afternoon. I had myself totally convinced that it would be fine to go hog-wild on the same day I won the contest and just about hit 165.

Then my tip about not using food as a reward kept bouncing around my head.  The evil devil on my left shoulder told me just to go ahead and run out to celebrate. The sour puss good angel on my right shoulder reminded me I would have to come here and fess up. 😛

No Chinese food was harmed in the making of this post. 😀

Don’t reward yourself with food.

No sense wasting a potential planned cheat on a Monday anyway. I need to save those for weekends. I can actually eat like the humans out there now. 😀

Personal Note

It really is staggering to have lost 158 pounds after being overweight for almost my entire life.  Heartfelt thanks to all of you that have helped me along the way. Shout out to my friends at Elmeer Place who taught me how to live again. 😀
