I did not get to the store and I don’t think I will make it tomorrow. Just not in the mood to battle the Sam’s crowd. This is going to be a week filled with temptations. I have 2 Lunch & Learns, the Wednesday free lunch and we are having an office Halloween Party.

I’ve had two good days in a row. I need to string about 40 in a row to get back to my panic weight. πŸ˜›

The Bike

I didn’t have any soreness today which is a bit of a surprise after the 47 minute ride yesterday.

I was going to give my legs a break after the nice ride last night, but I decided to get a short easy ride done. 12 rides in 16 days, or something about like that. So far so good. If I can keep that up until Christmas, I should be back down near my low to end the year. Of course I also need to keep my mouth under control which I have been unable to do consistently for several months. 😦

Do Over!!!

If only indeed! Thursday through Saturday were not good. I had an excuse on Friday. My sister got a new job!!! Go Sis! With that bit of good news we went out and celebrated. I didn’t have an excuse for Thursday or Saturday. πŸ˜›

With so many bad days in a row the scale will be UGLY tomorrow. Very very ugly.

It will be some time before I am willing to post my weight. πŸ˜›


Windows 8

For the record, I am a Microsoft fanboy. I wouldn’t have purchased Windows 8 on the first day if I wasn’t a fan of Microsoft products. Don’t buy Windows 8.Β  It isn’t ready. It isn’t really any faster than Windows 7 and it has many bugs. If you multi-task, it is a nightmare.

I pretty much just use the same desktop as Windows 7 because the new Start Screen is a nightmare for multi-tasking. It could be that I haven’t learned to use it correctly BUT if I can’t figure it out over a weekend, then the average user will also have trouble. Lots of trouble.

Windows needed to get a new product out to combat Android and Apple, so they rushed this one. Vista stunk, so Microsoft learned from their mistakes and created Windows 7 which is good. I think they will learn from Windows 8 and the next iteration will be better. However, untilΒ  then, put Windows 8 on hold or at least until they patch many of the problems.

I couldn’t use Netflix in a browser after loading Windows 8. My display driver blinks on and off sometimes. You can’t set a pop3 email account using the Start Screen mail App. My boot time is SLOWER than Windows 7. Oh, I can’t turn my computer off. When I turn it off, it comes back on every single time to tell me there was an error shutting down. Nice. So I just need to leave my computer on forever! End rant.

The Bike

Along with eating everything not nailed down, I also didn’t ride from Thursday through Saturday. The good news is that my legs were well rested today so I had a nice long ride.

I thought it would take longer to get to where I could ride 10 miles. I hit that goal in under two weeks. Now I need to get to my next goal of riding 20 miles. I’m going to stick to the same resistance levels and try to get it up to 20 miles.

I’m just about out of food. I really need to get to Sam’s tomorrow. I think I have enough food to get me through Tuesday. I need to learn from my MANY past mistakes. Don’t run out of healthy options.

I shall be growing a mustache in November for the Movember charity. It shall look something like this.

Actually, it won’t look anything like that. I could grow it 3 years and it wouldn’t look anything like that. After 1 month it will probably look like this.

In fact, I am crossing my fingers and holding my breath that I get that much coverage so I don’t look like too much of an idiot.

Too bad I can’t grow a Gandalf! πŸ˜€

Weight Statistics

I dropped a tiny amount on Tuesday morning and nothing this morning. Tomorrow will be an up day because once again, my nemesis, free lunch Wednesday got me……

Yes, there is such thing as a free lunch and it keeps getting me.

I did a good job eating yesterday. Low cal and carb and I was able to avoid the beignets on the grazing table. Today, I was in a meeting for a few hours with a tray of fancy and very tasty French pastries.

I was able to avoid grabbing one…… for the time being. For lunch I started out fine. I grabbed a couple of pieces of baked chicken and some salad. Later, the cookie monster started to gain control of my brain and I grabbed a couple of slices of hamburger steak. Then around 4pm, the leftover pastries were put on the grazing table.

Lunch – Chicken and salad, hamburger steak and salad

Dinner – None

Snacks – Pastries

I actually did slightly better than last week. Not much, but slightly. I need to AVOID the leftovers tomorrow. Oh rats, I have a lunch meeting and then a webinar! Actually, that might keep me too busy to be able to grab leftovers.

Weekend Wrap

I had a great Friday and Saturday. I had a pretty good Sunday until late when my sweet tooth took over. I still kept my calories around 2,000 on Sunday but my weight jumped 2 pounds this morning.Β  Even with that jump, I dropped an insane amount of water weight this week. How much you ask? Well even with the gain this morning, I am down 13 pounds from last Monday.

I’m still a zillion miles from getting back to 175 but at least I am moving in the right direction….sort of….. πŸ˜€

Some knucklehead decided to bring Halloween candy into the office pre-Halloween. They dumped a giant bag of goodies on The Grazing Table.

The butter fingers and crackle got me. πŸ˜›

Dinner – Chicken and salad

Snacks – Popcorn

Even with the candy malfunction I still had a good day.

I had a hard workout on Saturday. I planned to give myself Sunday off but I jumped on the bike for a few minutes. My heart and legs weren’t in the mood so I stopped after 7 minutes. I had another good workout just a little while ago.

That makes 9 rides in 9 days. So far so good with the bike. Problem is, with all of that biking, I am probably going to gain some weight as I put some muscle on my legs.

Make that 6 out of 6!Β  My legs are wobbly as usual. They were super sore this morning. My plan is to build the old endurance up to an hour per day. It will be a LONG time before I can do that. 25 minutes has me wiped out. I plan to give my legs a break every Sunday. 6 days on the bike and 1 day to rest.

I’ve had a good eating day today which I needed. Unfortunately, yesterday was similar to Wednesday because there were TONS of leftovers from Wednesday. On a positive note, I did keep my portions to normal levels and I didn’t go back for seconds.

Weight Statistics

I was actually down today so the slight cheat yesterday didn’t do any damage. I still kept the calories to approx. 1650 so it isn’t as if I went nuts like I did Wednesday.

Until I get back to my panic weight, I am not posting my weight. πŸ˜›
