The Bike – Sunday
I waited until Sunday to put the bike together because I was afraid some of the parts were missing. The first disaster was getting the bike from the car and up the stairs to my apartment. The box was heavy and not easy to move around. It nearly killed me getting it up the stairs. That was a workout!
Amazingly, all of the pieces were in the box even though there was a giant hole in the box. Building the bike would have been much easier with an extra pair of hands. It was a major hassle putting it together with one pair of hands. Another workout!
Once done, I jumped on the bike and did a 24 minute ride that nearly killed me again. That 24 minute ride was even harder than my normal 1 hour ride on the levee. My legs are weak and sore today.
Bike Part 2 – Monday
My legs were still wobbly and weak from yesterday so I decided to go with a slightly easier ride today. I did 20 minutes and about 5.6 miles. I need to rebuild my leg strength. It disappeared after 11 months of inactivity.
I jumped on the bike while watching Netflix. I’m already 100% certain the bike was a great idea. Instead of doing zilch for exercise this winter, I will get plenty of leg work and cardio done. 😀

Lunch – None
Dinner – Chicken with salad
Calories – 1000
I had another lousy weekend on the diet front but at least I finally got back to doing some exercise. Now I just need to get my diet back under control.
I had a great time at the LSU game and I chowed down on jambalaya and peanuts. Some ice cream might have been mixed in there somewhere. 😀
Too chicken! I need a few good days in a row before I get back to daily weighing. 😛
