Look At The Broccoli!

See! Look at all of that broccoli! The broccoli definitely makes my Tuesday evening trip to China Taste, a very healthy meal. Doesn’t it??? πŸ˜›

As you can see, I didn’t end Tuesday on a good footing. Even worse, I started out the day by eating about 40 of these….

Dang! Beignets on a Tuesday! My willpower was nonexistent.My hand had a mind of its own.

Oh great! Now the “x” on my keyboard is dead. I had to cut and paste that. πŸ˜›

I did have a good Monday. I just stunk things up with a terrible Tuesday.Β  Not very smart with Free Lunch Wednesday looming.

I had to avoid food all over the place today. First I needed to avoid the sliced poboys during a seminar….

Most of the time, I don’t have much of a problem avoiding those poboys. Hot poboys, yes, but not those. I have been able to stay away from those almost every time. Almost…..

The free lunch today was daube and veal cutlets with spaghetti along with garlic bread. The smell of the garlic bread did give me fits. I felt the cookie monster portion of my brain trying to take control.

I had a terrible day yesterday, but I won today. I didn’t nibble on a single thing. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Even skipped the 3pm popcorn.Β  If only I could have kept my hands away from the beignets yesterday. πŸ˜›

I’m just about out of all food. Looks like I need to head to the store within the next couple of days. I think I might drop the turkey burgers and go back to chicken.Β  Not sure. It is too easy to eat too many of those burgers.

The Bike

Monday – I hopped on the bike and after about 1 minute, it was clear I was not going to be able to ride. There wasn’t any gas left in the tank. My legs were worthless so I took the night off.

Tuesday – My legs and energy level weren’t any better Tuesday night. In fact, I felt like I might be getting sick, so I didn’t ride and I went to sleep early, 9pm.

Great! The water is out in my apartment! They’ve been working on some pipes the last couple of days and I guess they were unable to finish the work today and they didn’t turn the water back on. 😦

Thanksgiving Weekend Report

My idea to take pictures to slow down my eating didn’t work. Of course it doesn’t help that I thought I was taking pictures but I wasn’t.

Menu {Last Several Day}

Thanksgiving

I actually didn’t do terrible. I skipped the cinnamon rolls. I skipped the chips andΒ  dip. I had a nice plate of turkey, dressing, and yams. No dinner rolls. I had a tiny piece of pumpkin pie and cake.Β  I tried to keep from bringing any leftovers home but in the end I brought home some turkey, dressing and spinach dip.Β  The plan was to skip dinner and eat the leftovers on Friday.

The plan didn’t work. I ate the leftovers by 4pm. πŸ˜›

I still did much better than last Thanksgiving. Last year I ate so much I thought I was going to explode. This year, I was still hungry when I was done. Plus, I didn’t bring a huge amount of leftovers home. Decent job, but not great.

Friday

I was going to behave but instead I ended up going out to dinner with a friend. We headed to Superior Grill and I loaded up on chicken fajitas and plenty of chips and salsa. On top of that, some ice cream appeared in my apartment.

Not a very good day but even with the ice cream the calories were probably around 2700. A normal adult male could eat that many calories without gaining weight but I am sure I will explode. πŸ˜›

Saturday

I did a much better job on Saturday. I took control back from the devil on my shoulder.

I stuck with the normal menu of pork, turkey burgers, cheese and salad for approximately 1000 calories.

Sunday

Breakfast – Turkey burger with cheese

Lunch – Pork loin with cheese

Dinner – Pork loin with salad

Snack – None

Calories – 1000

The good news is that I am back to what I weighed last Sunday. After all of the cheating, I was up about 6 and now I am back to where I started last week which means most of the gains were just water related.

The Bike

I continue to do a pretty good job with the bike. I skipped Thursday. I couldn’t move from all of the food anyway.

Double Trouble!

Donuts & Free Lunch Wednesday!!!

First off, I have a new step I am going to take to try to combat my mouth. I just got a smart phone {Lumia 920}so I plan to take a picture of any cheat food before eating it. Having to post my mistakes MIGHT slow my mouth down. In theory. Didn’t work today. πŸ˜›

Behold, the infamous grazing table. My office is straight ahead, down 10 stairs and then right about 15 feet. This is what the table looked like at about 6:30 am.

Uh oh! I’m not sure who put that on my desk but it somehow worked its way into my mouth. πŸ˜›

I thought I was going to catch a break this week. I figured we wouldn’t have donut day because we are off on Friday. Instead, they just moved it to Wednesday and it caught me off guard. Blurp!

I planned on skipping the free lunch after the donut disaster but somehow that plate appeared on my desk. Not too bad. Just a little salad and one piece of hamburger steak. I was afraid today would be poboys. I’m glad it wasn’t.

I need a do over!

Thursday was almost as bad as Wednesday. Plenty of leftovers from the office T-Giving Party ended up in my belly. I rebounded on Friday with a nice bike ride and I kept the eating under control. I also had a great Sunday with a nice ride and once again I kept the eating under control.

Can we do Saturday over again?

I didn’t do a good job of anything on Saturday. No ride and roughly eleventy billion calories.

Ice cream got me on Saturday. Along with a few other tasty treats.

At least I did a good job on Friday and Sunday. I kept the calories to around 1000.

A decent week on the bike. Nothing spectacular. I only did 4 rides last week although I did have a valid excuse for 2 of the days I didn’t ride. No excuse on Saturday other than I was too full to move. πŸ˜›

I only rode about 37 miles down from about 50 last week. I am going to have to do better this week with the beginning of “Fat Season.”

I’m not happy. I spent about 3 hours earlier today organizing all of my music on my computer. Unbeknownst to me, I didn’t save any of the changes. I just assumed the stupid windows player was saving the changes as I made them.Β  I finally force myself to organize the mess that is the music on my computer and I don’t save any of the changes.Β  😦

The Saints

Congratulations to the Saints for clawing their way back into the playoff hunt. They are only a game back in the hunt for a wildcard. Very impressive to fight back from 0-4 to get back to 5-5. They still have a hard road ahead to make the playoffs but at least they have a shot.

Wow, what a crazy day in college football with Oregon and Kansas State losing and once again putting the SEC back in the mix.

Lunchageddon

 

That was my reaction to the scale on Monday when I had a phantom 2 pound gain after a perfect weekend.

That is what I felt like doing when I held on to that phantom weight gain after a good day Monday.

Yup! That is how I felt this morning after my tenth great day in a row. The scale still refused to budge. Unfortunately, the great days in a row ended today with LUNCHAGEDDON.

Today was the office Thanksgiving party. My plan was to have a little bit of everything but when there are a ton of different dishes, a little bit of everything still adds up to a GIANT plate full of food. πŸ˜›

Worth it! πŸ˜›

The half slice of pumpkin and half slice of peach pie was mighty tasty. I imagine the scale is going to move tomorrow in the WRONG direction. I need to get on another good streak until next Thursday when things will blow up again. πŸ˜€

I really had nothing left in the tank. I went to sleep at 8:45. No ride. I’ve been fighting a cold which has my head clogged up so much I can’t hear. Thankfully, after a couple of week of dealing with this, I think things are clearing up a bit.

Wednesday

Don’t know. The night is young. No ride yet, I just got home. I need to get a long ride done tonight because I take Thursday off because I don’t get home until after 10.
