Weekend Update

The damage from the Thursday night debacle was about what I thought it would be. I thought the scale would pop up about 3 pounds and it did. I went from 181.8 on Wednesday to 184.5 on Saturday.  I figured out that my total calories on Thursday was probably around 3k so I really shouldn’t have gained much REAL weight. Most of the gain was water and sure enough most of it is gone as of today. I dropped 2 pounds from yesterday’s weight.

Day 46 of 90

42 Flawless Days

Only 1 real bad day and 42 flawless days out of 46 days. Not too bad. The good news is that the competition is over the halfway mark. More good news is that I am only .7 of a pound from my low last Wednesday.   I should be able to get back to my low and maybe even drop a tiny amount by the Thursday weigh-in. Unless that stupid pattern starts up again and today is my lowest weight for the week, but I won’t let that happen.

Today’s Menu

Breakfast – None

Lunch – Pork loin with salad

Dinner – Burger patty with cheese

Snacks – Almonds

Calories – 1200

It is a bit rough getting back to Atkins after just 1 single slip up. My body was SCREAMING for more carbs all weekend. My brain tried to convince me to celebrate the halfway point of the competition by diving head first into the Mardi Gras King Cake Ice Cream I have stowed away in the freezer.

I stayed away from my freezer…. for now. 😛

That will be my birthday treat at the end of March. My birthday is on March 7th but I won’t celebrate my birthday until the competition is over.

I’m hoping I won’t cheat again until the end of the competition. If I don’t cheat, I will win the competition.  I do think Jess will be right back in the top 3 this week, but I think I can stay on top if I don’t cheat for the final 6 weeks. 😛
