Bad Weekend! Again!

The feeding frenzy started with the Friday lunch at Saucy’s BBQ.  That was some very tasty BBQ.  Then Friday night a skillet of cornbread miraculously appeared on my stove.

The somehow even more cornbread appeared Saturday night. Sunday wasn’t much better. Grillades, cheese grits and a super unhealthy but quite tasty salad.

Needless to say, I am up 3 this morning from my Friday weight. I’m actually not to upset by that. It should have been worse. 😛

I finally took the advice you have been screaming at me, and I dumped the rest of the milk down the drain and the corn meal and flour are out with the trash.

Cornbread Fest 2013 is finally over. 😀

Back to work for me.  I had a good Monday with about 1200 calories. Last week, I was fine until the weekend, so this week I need to carry a good week over into a good weekend.  😛

Wednesday Report

Last week, the wheels fell off on Wednesday when the free lunch derailed me.  Then I carried that over all the way through Saturday.  I need to have a MUCH better Wednesday this week.

What was for lunch?

Up this week, bbq chicken, fried chicken, mac & cheese, buttered bread, green beans and salad. I was going to skip everything but I started to crack so I grabbed some salad.

Today’s Menu

Breakfast – None

Lunch – Chef salad

Dinner – Pork loin with salad

Snacks – Almonds

Calories – 1200

Given the problems I’ve had with the last few Wednesdays, I am happy with how things went today. Good job on the diet front the last 3 days but after 4 weeks of goofing off, the scale has not been nice. Stupid scale!

Weight Statistics

I’m still up about 10 since the competition ended March 28th. No cheats until I get back down to my goal weight of 175.  In theory it shouldn’t take me too long to get back down to 175 as long as I can keep my paws off the cornbread. 😛

I do have a family lunch on Friday, but I think I should be able to order something Atkins friendly.

At some point I need to get back on that bike just not tonight.  😀

Back At It

I listed three steps yesterday and I met them all today. I ate my normal diet food, I’m posting again and as of almost 9pm, no cornbread has been injured in making this post.

Today’s Menu

Breakfast – Burger patty with cheese

Lunch – None

Dinner – Pork loin with salad

Snacks – Almonds

Calories – 1100

It will take 24 to 48 hours before the massive carb cravings subside. Once I get back to full Atkins Ketosis the hunger should dip a bit, just in time for free lunch Wednesday which I have a feeling will be poboys this week. 😛

No free lunch for me until i get back under 175. I’m currently up 10+ from when the contest ended. Back to full-blown diet bunker hermit mode until I get back under 175.

Hiding!

You would think I would have learned by now. When I stop posting, the scale makes an epic climb up. I haven’t posted in almost a week and that week was not kind to the scale.

I had a great Monday and Tuesday followed by a disastrous Wednesday through Saturday. The big mistake was buying more milk and eggs which meant more CORNBREAD. I can’t stop eating cornbread. After 3 years of almost no bread, I’ve been unable to stop eating cornbread. 😛

Then I end up eating even more carbs! Vicious cycle!

I would say I have it out of my system, but I can’t guarantee that. 😛

Step 1, I need to get back to my regular diet food, thus I just finished cooking a pork loin.

Step 2, I need to get back to posting several times a week starting tomorrow.

Step 3, STOP eating cornbread.

Carbs Carbs & More Carbs!

My sweet tooth is back and it won’t go away!

Friday, Saturday and Sunday were not very smart diet days. I thought I was out of ingredients to make anything bad but I actually had the ingredients for shortbread cookies which I ended up making on Friday and Saturday night.

My cookies didn’t look anything like that. Mine looked like nightmares but they tasted good enough. 😛

Then I ran to store last night to get some ice cream.

I hope I have the sweet tooth out of my system for now.

Weight Statistics

The scale should drop quickly if I can kick the carbs for a few days. Along with the sweets my sodium intake was through the roof! I’ve been good today so I should have a bit of a drop tomorrow. I won’t lose it all quickly because I did gain some real weight along with the sodium weight. 😦

I overslept a bit this morning, so I didn’t get my normal breakfast. I’ll get back to a normal calories load tomorrow. This week is going to be tough. I have lunch plans almost every day. I need to stick with salads or nothing at all. Friday is another belated birthday lunch. I think I can get something safe from the grill on Friday. Well, I am out. Short post tonight.
