Cookie Monster Brain!

After only 1 decent day, the cookie monster portion of my brain tried to convince me that i deserved a treat for skipping the candy on the grazing table and skipping the seminar lunch,

Cookie monster was in the mood for Chinese, but I was able to withstand that temptation. Tomorrow should be a little easier. The carbs should be just about out of my system.

Today’s Menu

Breakfast – Burger patty with cheese

Lunch – None

DinnerΒ  – Pork loin with salad

Snack – Burger patty with cheese, Almonds

Calories -1550

Not sure. There appears to be a technical problem with the scale. πŸ˜›

The Bike

Nothing tonight. I am wiped out. Not even 9pm and I am thinking of turning in for the night.

The good news is that I should be moving towards ketosis and the insane food cravings should tone down a bit. The bad news is that it will take me a couple of months to get back to where I was. At minimum a couple of months. Just in time for the holiday eating season. πŸ˜›

Another Mulligan

Well said Mr. Ford……well said.

Since my last post I had about 4 really strong days in a row followed by 5 disastrous days in a row.Β  The wheels fell off after the pizza fest at my office fantasy football draft.Β  I did get on the stationary bike last Sunday. Then I proceeded to avoid eye contact with the bike for the next week.

I can’t go back in time so the only option is to begin again.

I had a decent enough eating day today and I once again hopped on the stationary bike for a very short ride. I need to get back on the bike at least 3 nights this week and I need to stick to the food I cooked today.

Back to work for me. πŸ˜›

First Week Back – In Review

Not sure how, but it probably could have gone worse than it did. About the only good thing I did this week was I skipped the donuts yesterday. I had a terrible time trying to ween myself off of the carb overload.

This was a particularly tough week to try and kick the carbs and restart the diet.

Someone stuck several pizzas on the grazing table along with jalapenos bread.

We had cake and beignets twice. Along with Friday donuts, someone brought donuts Thursday.

I was in a lunch meeting 4 days this week. πŸ˜›

And the Wednesday free lunch was poboys and gumbo.

Tough week.

Not all bad news. I did lose weight this week. I finally stepped on the scale and it was FAR worse than I expected.

My big mistake was waiting almost to the end of the week to get on the scale. I should have jumped on the scale on Sunday and that would have motivated me to make better choices all week.

Back in the Saddle

After a technical glitch knocked me out for a week, I just kept rolling along using stress as an excuse to mow down anything and everything in sight.

Sunday was the first day back on the horse. I had a solid Sunday.

Monday……Bumpy ride.

I had a horrible Monday after the mechanic told me it would be $1500 to fix the car up. Used that hiccup as an excuse to go nuts again.Β  In the morning we had cake and cupcakes and beignets. I was able to resist those. Only because the mechanic didn’t call me until lunch time. At lunch, someone dropped 4 large pizzas and 2 large orders of jalapenos bread on the grazing table.

I would have taken pictures but I was too busy eating pizza and jalapenos bread. πŸ˜›

Not sure what the actual number is at the moment but all of my clothes are TIGHT.Might be a week before I have the nerve to get back on the scale. πŸ˜›

Time to get the momentum moving in the right direction.Β  Also time to get back on the stationary bike. πŸ˜›

Somewhat Back!
