Huge loss this week. Cranking it up to 11 worked wonders. I stopped eating fruit on Thursday morning. I think this might have helped too. I don’t eat breakfast at home on weigh-in day. Once I weigh-in, I am so hungry I grab a few pieces of fruit at work which of course then kicks me out of Ketosis.
The last two weeks I brought something with me to work to eat after the weigh-in so I wouldn’t disrupt the Atkins magic. I think that helped me pull the big number this week along with the lower calories and stationary bike.
I am surprised by the drop this morning. I figured I would be up today. I figured I had to be a tad dehydrated yesterday so once I hit the liquids, I figured I would bounce up this morning. Instead I had another nice drop.
Awesome to see that I am almost back into the 160s. I need to drop about 3 more pounds to hit a nice 30 pound drop for the contest. ๐
The Contest
I weighed in yesterday at 173.8 on the office scale which gives me a 26.4 pound drop since the contest started in early January.

Rich had a bad week which enabled me to retake the Total Loss lead and extend my Total % Loss lead. Barring some miraculous loss by Rich or a meltdown of epic proportions by me, I should take the crown on Thursday.
Gale, the Queen Bee of Dieting Contests, didn’t participate in the competition this year. She dropped 14.5% last year. I am actually within reach of that number so even though I appear to have the contest wrapped up, I am going to keep my effort cranked to try to beat that 14.5% number.
The Bike
I took last night off but I did get 30 minutes for 7.8 miles on Wednesday night. I need to do the same today.

Don’t worry, I’ll pick up the calories in just a few more days.ย I am a bit worried about tomorrow. I am going to an office party to celebrate the semi-retirement of a long time employee and there will be piles of good food all over the place.
I have been craving some jambalaya and I know there will be a ton at the party tomorrow.
I need to stay strong.
Funny thing is that piece of toast in the picture is what I really want to eat. I’ve had almost no bread for 3 years. Someone made some toast at work on Tuesday and the smell almost overwhelmed me. I used to eat a ton of bread and pasta and I do miss them.
I hope to slowly add them back into the mix once I have settled at my goal weight. I learned a painful lesson last year shooting back up over 200 or I HOPE I learned the lesson. ๐
