Lazy Day

Thursday did not go as planned. I did get over to Wal-Mart to get a new bike tube for the tire and some tire levers, but most of the morning was spent on the job hunt, so I didn’t have time to do much else until the afternoon. By the time I got back from Wal-Mart my only options were to fix and ride the bike or head to my dad’s house to do laundry.

The piles of laundry all over my closet and the lack of clean things to wear made the decision pretty easy and the lazy side of my brain leaped with joy at missing another day on the bike.

So I did not get out on the bike on Thursday thus there will be no Bike Update today.

Yesterday’s Meal Plan

Breakfast – Tuna fish and avocado

Lunch – Red beans with ham

Dinner – Small piece of breakfast sausage, small piece of corned beef.

Snack – Handful of wasabi peas

Calories – 1250

Never seem to be able to plan well for Thursday. I was at my dad’s house so for dinner I just tried to find some meat which happened to be a small piece of breakfast sausage he already had cooked and a piece of corned beef.

The red beans for lunch came courtesy of my step-dad. Problem is they tasted too darn good and the 2 portions accidentally became one….

I was going to post another cat picture here but I decided 2 cats in one day would make you think I was the grumpy old cat man. I have no cats. I currently have no pets, but I did actually put water in my little aquarium yesterday. I think I’ll get some fish and start the aquarium again for the first time in 5 years.

Today I am making my own red beans which won’t be a problem because unlike my step-dad, I don’t add salt so they don’t taste remotely as good as his.

Tip Of The Day

Get off your butt. I took Wednesday off and Thursday too. I know that laziness returns easily and becomes a habit again so I know I need to hit it and hit it hard today.  As soon as I am done here, I will get that tire fixed and I will be out the door into that miserable wind (although I may like the wind now that the temps are up to 85 here).

Diets aren’t so hard to comprehend. The basic core of every diet is “Eat Less & Move More.”

Once you have added exercise into your new lifestyle, be careful not to slack too many days in a row because those old lazy habits creep back in and tack control faster than you think.

I need to make sure I stop that Lazy Monster from taking back control, so I will hit that levee today and I plan to hit the levee real hard on Saturday.

Don’t let the Lazy Monster control your life and warp you into a couch potatoe (shout out to Dan Quayle) again.

Happy Dieting, see you tomorrow.
